About New Mexico

The state of New Mexico lies in the middle of the Southwest of the United States and offers a diverse range of year round outdoor and cultural activities. The natural beauty of the high deserts, mountain ranges and buttes along with a mild, four season climate creates a relaxed, friendly and open atmosphere among the diverse people who populate this state. The ancient style of adobe architecture prevails in the majority of the state, with Santa Fe being particularly stringent in it's building codes, to keep this style intact.

Santa Fe is located approximately 50 miles north of Albuquerque, the largest city in New Mexico and has a population of approximately 75,000 people. As the state capitol, Santa Fe has been dubbed "The City Different" as it's casual, low key lifestyle, natural beauty and temperate, dry climate attracts a diverse group of business professionals, governmental officials, artisans, musicians and writers. Approximately 7,000 feet in altitude, the city enjoys a mild four season climate with crystalline air and sparkling sunshine. Every season holds its own activities, both indoors and out. There are too many to write about so I have listed below, a number of great websites to help you discover this wonderful place in the "Land of Enchantment", known as New Mexico.
